Total Fail....

So I am horrible at keeping up this blog when I am in school apparently! I am not even sure how many people read this ha!

In the past month-we have gone on our mini vacation to Gatlinburg, Tn. It was wonderful, we had so much fun and can't wait to go back!

We found out Rusty is sick with heartworm and he is getting antibiotics for the time being until the beginning of April when we will either go ahead with the treatment or give him more pills. So we will see what that holds for our little family.

Logan is busy with work as usual. He is working tonight which is why I thought to update this blog. I have six weeks left of school until I have 5 weeks off! If we make it through the rest of March and April we have several visits to look forward to in May from Robin and my parents! We are hoping Logan's parents make it out before his next trip also!!

We have our military formal coming up May 21st-I am borrowing a dress from my FRG leaders daughter, it worked out and fits perfectly! I am super excited since it is at the Opryland hotel in Nashville.

I need to go put my school bag together and get stuff ready for work tomorrow-so sorry this is short and really didn't post any updated information!

I promise once I am out for a small break I will upload pictures and do a more detailed life update of the Tennessee Brokaw's!

Falling behind...AGAIN!

So for my blog readers, I apologize but when I am in school and working crazy hours I am a failure at keeping up our blog!

Nothing much is happening down in Tennessee right now. Logan has been gone and back again! I hate having him gone, life is just not the same when he isn't here to annoy, I mean entertain, me ha ha!

Both of our work schedules are a tad crazy! We didn't spend one night at home together last week because of work, school, and flying schedules that didn't match up! I have one more week of school until Spring Break! YAY! We are headed to Gatlinburg which is SUPER exciting! Before this little fun trip, I have midterms, papers, and reading galore to do so the next week and a half are going to be rough!

We had beautiful weather this weekend so we spent a good portion of our Saturday at the dog park with Rusty! We have been working on some agility training with him and this past weekend he finally went up the mountain and on the teeter-toter. Pretty good for him! We think he is scared of heights ha ha. He saw another dog do it and this lady put her dog on the top to show Rusty and he followed it right up there!

Sorry no fun pictures this post, but life is pretty boring here with both of us working and with me in school! I promise after our vacation I will post some pictures!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day from Tennessee! Its a gloomy cold day here...in which we haven't even gotten dressed or left the house!

Last night we celebrated instead of today because we didn't want to deal with the crowds! Logan went all out this year and got me my requested Valentine's day plant vs. flowers-this way it will live longer! He even got me two cards, clothes, and a borders gift card! I do admire his observant nature lately! Here is a picture of the Valentine's Day loot:I would like to note I was told I didn't have to get him anything for because I am still reveling in the awesome projector present from Christmas! Not to mention that present alone is enough to take up an entire two years of presents money wise!! I did however make him this little video for Valentine's Day:

Logan took us to Park Cafe in Nashville last night, Park Cafe. You can click that link and it will take you to the website! It was very good and a very nice atmosphere. We sat by a door and they even had a little space heater to blow on us because the door opened to go to a tent where a party was being held-they must have known I would freeze so it was perfect! We had fried calamari for an appetizer, Logan had beef tenderloin for dinner and I had the chicken. It was all very good! I am excited to see what other fun things Logan comes up with in the future =).

Slacker....

Well Happy Valentine's day! I have been quite the slacker on updating this blog, however my other blog is now finished for school! So perhaps I will have more time to write on this one. There really hasn't been much going on our end down here in Tennessee!

I am doing the usual work, school, wife routine and Logan is still doing his work, play video games, and husband routine!

I happen to be sick this weekend, which is no fun for Valentine's day! I am thinking the flu judging by how achy I feel...so lets hope it goes away somewhat soon! Logan has actually planned something for us to do tonight, we are celebrating one day early because I don't have Monday off! It will probably be still just as crowded as Sunday night, but will still be fun non the less. He won't even tell me what we are doing, I just know I have to be ready at least by 8 because that is when our reservation is. He keeps trying to give me my presents early, but so far so good. I told him that this is like all of our holidays all over again....we can never seem to make it until the actual day! So we will see if we make it until tonight!

Well I will post another blog post tomorrow with how Logan's classified plans turns out tonight! We are supposed to be getting more snow tonight so lets hope it doesn't strand us where ever we are going!

Snow Day!

Well as you can see we finally have snow here in Clarksville! We got about 7 inches between last night around 4 pm up until this morning! These are the only pictures of Rusty we have since the battery died on the camera! Hopefully later I will take him back out and get a video and then attempt to post that on here =).

I have been slacking!

Hello,

I decided that while Logan is still at work, sadly, I would update our blog since I don't feel like focusing on school! Since school started I have been one busy lady. Logan I think is enjoying this time apart since he is a big fan of "alone time" as he calls it! I could go without it, but it does make the time we spend together better and more special.

Work, school, and Logan have been keeping me super busy, but I am enjoying it! I still have plenty of time to do my own thing and study while Logan is at work. My classes are going well. I have already written several papers and done little projects, so it is going well. I have several smaller projects occurring over the course of the semester, which I want to do all at once! One project that isn't due until March I have already done more than half of! It actually involved creating another blog-Brokaw Spring 2010. See that little cool link thing was a cool thing I learned in class! This blog will follow my journey through discovering the new idea-Web 2.0! So feel free to read that also! It will eventually have 23 things in it-I just finished thing 9 tonight! The 23 things will be finished by the end of the semester!

Logan has been super busy with work, no big surprise there. It is 8:16 pm and he is still at work. I can only begin to imagine the type of mood he will be in when he gets home! In my time tonight with out him I should have done homework, but the tv was calling my name!

On a happier note-I FINALLY got my jeep back today! It looks pretty. They still need to remove the last part of the clear bra that was on it-but they said I could just call in one day and they would do it while I waited! I am pleased that I got it back today since they are forecasting "SNOW" (which is really never snow) so at least I will feel better driving with my jeep and a car I know! My little toyota was nice, but it felt wonderful driving home in my jeep! I felt like I sat so high-that will take some getting used to. This also means we can stop looking like white trash and take down our Christmas lights ha ha. We needed the jeep back so we could borrow our friends ladder!

Well-we are pretty boring really these days. We will hopefully have more updates soon perhaps with pictures lol.

Start of the Year.

So far we have been a pretty busy little family lately! Logan went back to work last week, which always keeps him busy! I went to work and started school on January 14th!

I am taking two real classes that are from 4:30-7:30 PM on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (they only meet once a week) and then one online class that I do whenever I have time! I still have to go to my first class for my Tuesday night class, but if its like the other three I think I will have plenty of time to get everything done, including working and playing wife to Logan! So far my classes seem interesting-I will see what I think after being in them for longer than one week!

Yesterday, Saturday, we went to the Science Museum in Nashville. It sounded like a great plan since we thought it would be similar to the Museum in Denver, however we were sooooooo wrong! It was geared towards much younger children, I don't even think a teenager would enjoy going there. The only thing we really did enjoy was the planetarium, in which we saw a show on Mars. Logan is a huge space/planet nerd so we went to that show for him! Looking back to high school I would have never guessed he was a closet nerd, he put on a good show ha ha =)!

After the mall we went to the Oprymills mall where we had lunch at Chilis, Logan's favorite restaurant. We have one here in Clarksville, but the service and food are really not that good...so I decided to give in and let him go! We then went to Cinnabun since we DON'T have one of those here in town....I was soooooooo excited when I found one of these! Just last weekend we set out on Friday night to find a cinnamon roll...I was convinced we could find some place in our little mall, but NOPE! We even tried Starbuckss and nothing. We settled for our usual Chai lattes which weren't even all that good. SO after this little adventure you could imagine how happy we were to find the cinnabun in Nashville! Its the small things in life really =)!

Today, Logan might be doing some painting and working on some projects he has been needing to get done. I need to get ahead on my reading while I still have time for class and finish an introduction assignment for my online class!

Well better get off of here and get started for the day! We are having Logan's friend over for dinner so he can show off his man cave and play video games....FUN. Guess I will be doing something else tonight lol...
