This past week has flown by! Landon celebrated his first Christmas, visited tons of family, and has just been an overly exhausted little man. Landon's first Christmas was also a white Christmas. We had about 3 inches of snow at my parents! I haven't seen this much snow in a few years, so it was a fun memory to have with Landon and his first Christmas.
He is sleeping rather well at my parents which is nice, but he is averaging about 2 hours less sleep than normal at night since he goes to bed significantly later than he is used to. His naps are doing pretty well, but he is just so overly tired from us taking him places that he can't catch up even with extra long naps. Now that the major visiting days are over, we are going to try to stick to a better schedule for him and hopefully normalize him before heading back to Virginia here in a week and a half. He is currently in the middle of a 2.5 hour long nap....the poor boy can sleep the day away if that will make him feel better.
In addition to being exhausted, he is a teething monster. His second top center tooth is causing alot of problems and pain for him. The poor guy has raw fingers from chewing on them constantly the past week. It looks so close to come through but so far, no such luck! I occasionally would sing him the "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" song, but he didn't find it terribly amusing.
Regardless of the tiredness factor and the teeth, Landon had a great first Christmas. It was so fun to see him around all of our family and opening gifts. Granted, he cared more for the paper and bows than the actual gift, but in time he will learn to play with them. We have so much stuff we will need to ship the majority of it back! He was a very fortunate little boy with all the gifts from his grand parents, aunts and uncles, and cousins!
In Landon news....he is getting pretty close to walking. He walks constantly with his walker and can push things around the house walking behind them. Today it was amusing to watch him push the laundry basket around. He attempted to take his first step towards Logan yesterday, but decided he would crawl instead after reaching out and contemplating for a minute or so. He is getting better about walking while holding someones hand as well! We need to work on balancing and standing alone, but he thinks it is a big game to fall forward and have me catch him.
Landon LOVES to clap. He claps for almost everything these days. His favorite time to clap is while eating. I also think this is the beginning of him signing more to food, since we have been working on that with him. It is exciting that this is his first real attempt at communication!
Landon's babbling along these days. He says: Dada, Nana, Mama, and we have heard him say Gigi a few times a well. Right now his two favorite are Da da and Na na, but they still don't have a connection with the person.
Just in the last week, Landon has learned to kiss a baby doll. You say Landon, give the baby a kiss and he gives it a big open mouth kiss on its face! Now to get him to give kisses to real people!
Here are a few pictures that we took over the last week.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
Until next week =).

45 Weeks!
Our wee little man is 45 weeks old! That means his 1st birthday is in 7 weeks!!! We have had an eventful week with traveling to Colorado on Tuesday! His first flight was pretty good, considering it was 4.5 hours long! We flew on a window which was nice for nursing, but it was hard to have people get up and move when we needed to get up to walk or use the restroom. The one man on the isle was very helpful with helping with our bags putting them in the overhead bin and helping get them down! I am thankful I had so much help from random strangers and the airline employees! They were helpful with me having my arms full! Might have to reconsider how much to take on the plane when we fly to Costa Rica in January!!
Here are some pictures of Landon and I on the plane:
Other than our busy Tuesday, we have been having fun seeing family and getting adjusted to our new days in a new place. Landon is sleeping decently, but waking up earlier than usual. He seems to be getting up at 6:45, which is about an hour earlier than at home. That means the rest of the day is just a bit off as well. He naps from 9-11 AM and then again from 2-4 PM. He can make it to 7:30, but it is a stretch! He is slowly getting on this time! I am having a tough time as well. 9 PM hits and I am ready for bed! Getting up that early is hard work ha ha. I miss our 8 AM wake ups!!
It snowed on Wednesday and Landon had his first experience with snow! He wasn't too sure what to think, but I think he enjoyed eating it!
Here is a preview of Landon's birthday invite!!!
Until next week! Merry Christmas =)

44 Weeks!
Hello, all! We have had yet another busy week. First, the little dude is now an official 10 month old! Double digits-he is growing up so fast!! We have had all of our usual outings this week, in addition to getting ready for our small Christmas here, several holiday parties this weekend, and then traveling on Tuesday!
Now for a bit of Landon recap at 10 months old!
- He is a crawling maniac and a cruises along furniture. He can bend down and pick toys up and most of the time not fall over. He can also walk behind his walker for several feet before feeling the need to sit down and crawl. He can't stand by himself yet or walk with us holding his hands, but we are working on it!
- He sleeps 12 hours at night, with usually one wake up between 4-6 AM. He also takes two naps that vary on their length depending on the day. He usually naps at 10 AM and 2 PM. They can be as short as an hour or up to 2.5, just depends how busy we have been and how well he slept the night before!
- He is eating 3 solid meals per day and does so happily. He is a bottomless pit and will eat us out of house and home if I let him. The only way I know he is getting full is he starts eating slower and gets more distracted and is more willing to drop food over the side for Rusty. He is also nursing a total of 5 times in a 24 hour period, usually 4 during the day and then once over night. He occasionally will have snacks throughout the day if I need to get something done without him getting in the way. He is very patient sitting in his high chair as long as there is some sort of cereal or puffs sitting in front of him! I would venture to say eating times are his favorite parts of the day!
- He still loves bath time. He enjoys sitting up and splashing in the tub. He plays with his toys and reads his water book. He is learning that he can crawl in the tub and for the first time last night he tried to stand up and I promptly sat him back down. Our rule in the tub is bottoms on the tub and if he can't stay that way we get out-not crawling or standing!
- His favorite toys right now are none toys for the most part-a hotel room key, a dvd case, a balloon. He loves the book that my Mom made him with everyone's photo. He recognizes the grand parents and since we do skype or facetime so often he thinks they should talk back...it is rather funny! Hopefully since he is getting loads of new toys at Christmas he will want to play with all of those and not things that aren't his!
- He is terrified of the vacuum. If I vacuum while he is awake I have to hold him the entire time or he will scream until it turns off. It is rather sad.
- He likes throwing stuff into the bathtub and has quickly discovered the toilet. He also likes to unravel all the toilet paper, which is super fun....not.

43 Weeks!
This little dude is 43 weeks and almost 10 months old! The past 10 months have been such a big blur, but so many moments stand out at the same time. I can't believe in 2 short months he will be ONE! I am not ready for that!!
We have had a decent week. Logan is on the road again for two weeks, so it is the wee man and I just going through the days. We have actually been extremely busy this week. We have had errands, play dates, music, walk, gym, and Drs. appointments.
A week ago we took Landon to see Santa. We backed him into Santa's lap so he didn't freak out. He wasn't giving us the goods for the smile, which is rare, but they still got some cute ones none the less! After a few minutes he realized we weren't holding him and he started to look at Santa with his side eyed look and then burst into tears! It was funny, but sad all at the same time.
We are struggling with some severe separation anxiety and stranger anxiety. Landon is NOT at all fond of men. I think that is due to Logan being gone so much. Lately if a man talks to him its about a 50/50 chance of Landon bursting into tears or just staring blankly. He still smiles most of the time at women, but occasionally he will just stare at them as well. So this is a fair warning to everyone at home-DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY =). I have to remind Logan of this when Landon is crying and leans and reaches towards me to calm him down. Just a product of us spending 99% of our time together. I think it is good we are going to the gym child care to help Landon get used to being with other people. Once we get back from Colorado, I am hoping we can find a reliable baby sitter to help with this also. Spending a wee bit of time apart for my stage 5 clinger will be good for both of us =).
Landon got his new car seat this week! He looks like such a big boy in it now. I am so sad I have been having to put away all his baby things. The only *true* baby thing we haven't gotten rid of is his swing. That is next on the list when we get back from Colorado. He rarely uses it and when he does it is a challenge to keep him in the swing and not trying to sit forward! He is not a little baby anymore!!
We have been hanging out with several friends with little ones around Landon's age. Yesterday at the library he gave his little friend Ariella her first kiss. I think I am going to be in trouble with this one-he is such a FLIRT. On another play date with a friend we took the boys to the park and Landon went in his first baby swing at the park. As one can imagine, he was pretty happy swinging along. Both of the boys though were more interested in people watching rather than playing or talking with us!
On Sunday evening we went to The Grand Illumination in Colonial Williamsburg. Landon saw his first fireworks and did really well. Logan wasn't able to go so I braved giant crowds with a few friends and we had a good time! It was just around his bed time so he fell asleep in the stroller on the way back to the car! Such a sweet boy still.
Here are just a few other pictures I took throughout the week:
