59 Weeks!

So in the first time of the weekly posts for Landon, I skipped last week! I mostly just forgot it was Thursday and by the time I realized I forgot to post a blog, I just decided to recap this week.

We spend the week before in Colorado seeing family and it was great.  I think overall, Landon did pretty well even though by the end of the trip he was getting a bit over stimulated.  We did several fun things while in Colorado! We went to the Denver Aquarium with Annie, Mallory, and Farrah, went to the WOW Children's Museum with Gigi, had lunch with Nana, Pop Pop, and Gigi at Red Robin, saw the Easter Bunny, and just hung out with family.  We had a really great time at home and wish our trip hadn't gone as fast!  We are hoping to be able to go back sometime this summer depending on everyone's schedules.  In the mean time, people are more than welcome to come visit us!

Here are some pictures from our week in Denver:

Loved the Easter Bunny!

Since we got back late Monday, we have just spent the last few days getting settled and back into our routine.  We ended up missing music and our walk this week, but we did run some much needed errands to the store.  Landon was his usual talkative self at the store.  He waved at everyone Walmart and Petsmart the other day, pretty funny.  Waving seems to be his new go to, with an occasional wiggle in there.

Landon's biggest accomplishment this week was being able to tell me what sound a snake makes.  If you ask him he makes a 'ssssssss' sound, while at the same time half spitting.  Pretty cute!

Here are some pictures throughout our week so far!

Someones Daddy got home last night!

Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

Until next week =).

57 Weeks!

Our sweet little boy is 57 weeks this week!  He also hit the big 13 months over the weekend.  Landon has changed SO MUCH in the last few months, it is crazy to watch all the new things he learns everyday.

Some of Landon's newest tricks are blowing kisses, touching his head, spitting, sticking his tongue out, working the DVD remote to turn on his DVD, opening and closing his toy box, high fives, blowing on food that is 'hot', and pointing to the moon. The amount of words he understands is impressive as well.  He can bring me his shoes, keys, book, and a ball if I ask him to.  He knows Rusty and the cats...he will look for them if I ask him where is the dog or cat.   He also knows that a cell phone is something you put to your ear! So funny when he does it with random things, but at least he has the right idea!

His favorite toys lately are keys, balls, and his elephant that blows balls out of its nose still.  He also really enjoys his drum! He still prefers none toys, such as my keys, but he is showing more interest in real toys which is exciting!  Most of his playtime is spent waking back and forth and carrying random things to put over the gate!

Landon is slowly starting to speak and vocalize.  He has learned the eat sign, so I can ask him if he wants to eat and he will sign to eat.  That has helped cut down on some of the tantrums related to being hungry, especially around dinner time.  He has inherited the grouchy mood if he is hungry trait from both Logan and I.  Yesterday, we had an epic meltdown after he got up from his nap because he was apparently starving, complete with big giant crocodile tears.  Landon can say done when he is done nursing and will just roll away and he also knows what a banana is-or nanas to him. He is pretty close to saying bubbles, but only if I say it first! He also likes the word, pop, that we read in his bath book every night.  We are still working on alot of other words like down and up, cat and dog, etc.  He can say mama and dada, but they still aren't associated with us.  The most amusing thing about Landon's latest babbles is that the sounds German when he does it.  I hear alot of dogens, neins, etc. It cracks me up and I hope the Colorado people can see this next week!

Landon is a vocal little due in terms of noises.  When he rides in his carseat, he no longer sits quietly or sucks on his pacifier, he yells in happiness from the backseat and gives me a headache.  He has also started this happy yelling whenever he plays or we are out shopping.  It is slightly embarrassing and we are working on inside voice, which who knows when he will get...but for the mean time I don't feel like I can get too terribly upset with him since at least he isn't throwing a tantrum or crying.  It will certainly be interesting on Monday on the plane with his yelling and a small area.  Hopefully, the noise of the plane will drown it out!

Landon has three new favorite foods that he would eat every day if I let him- mandarin oranges, blueberries, and lasagna.  This kids LOVES and inhales these foods whenever they are around.  It is fairly impressive.  He went through a picky stage of throwing everything on the ground as soon as he tried it a month or so ago and it was so frustrating. For a few weeks all he would eat was bread and pouches.   Then he wouldn't even eat BREAD! It wasn't looking good.  Something must have clicked and all of a sudden he started eating again.  The kid doesn't like plain food, just like his Daddy, so I have to remember to flavor his food or make sure we have some sort of sauce...again just like his Dad!

Ok on to the pictures!

56 Weeks!

Landon is 56 weeks old today and in two days will be 13 months old.  We had alot of fun hanging out with Logan for the short time he was home this past week.  Saying that Landon is obsessed with Logan, may be an understatement.  When Landon was awake, he was attached to Logan.  He was always bothering him and wanting to be picked up and thrown around.  When we went out places, Logan had to hold Landon constantly.  Landon is obsessed with playing with Logan's hat as well...taking it off and trying to put it back on.  Needless to say, it was fun having him home for a short period of time! It is really unfortunate that he had to leave again so quickly for two weeks!

Our last week was just our usual, unless Logan was home.  We went to music, walking, the WISC, etc.  Nothing too terribly interesting!

Here are some pictures of our week!

Walking is a dangerous for this little dude! He slipped and bit his lip! Lots of blood, but thankfully nothing that required stitches!

Who is this big boy?

He climbs on everything and his chair is the way he does it! Trying to find a place to put the chair that he can't climb on to something is a challenge.

Crazy bed head!! Finally, getting enough hair to stick straight up.

The happy boy has been around alot more lately.
Here is the weekly video! He is exhausting and never sits still! Walking has just made him even more of a challenge to keep up with!

Until next week =).

Professional 1 year old pictures!

Here are some of the pictures that we had done last weekend! I will bring the disc home in March so we can print them.  The photographer did recommend printing from an online professional site since the quality will be better.
