19 weeks

How Far Along? 19 weeks!

Maternity Clothes? Wearing these more and more...they are just so much more comfortable.

Weight Gain? I am up to around 10 lbs...not great, not horrible I suppose!

Stretch Marks? Nope....still using lotion/oil =).

Sleep? Crappy this week.  I wake up usually two times a night to pee and after that I have so much on my mind I can't sleep for another hour...

Best Moment of the Week? All the kids at the high school asking me if I am pregnant ha ha...apparently the rumor mill is in full swing in the chemistry classes.

Movement? Definitely felt some kicks the other night, but nothing consistent!

Gender? 100% boy...see the pictures below!

What I miss? Just generally feeling normal ha ha...there is always something pregnancy related that I feel!

Symptoms: Stretching and growing the past week.  Little man is on a growth spurt! In the next two weeks he should be almost to a pound and about 10 inches in length.  He is only 8 oz. and about 6 inches long-lots of growing and needs room to do it!

What I'm looking forward to? Hitting 20 weeks!

Weekly Wisdom: Water, water, water....

Milestones: Having our anatomy scan and finding out everything is great with the little one!  Also this week all the furniture was moved from the office to the guest bedroom and the nursery furniture is in place.  In a few weeks when my Mom comes to visit we will be painting and putting up the crib!  Lots of fun exciting things in the near future =).

Emotions:Feeling more relaxed, but will always have to worry until he comes...then I will worry about him after he is here ha ha.

18.5 week Anatomy Scan

Today we had our anatomy scan! Meaning the tech viewed all of the parts of LB and made sure he was healthy, growing, and most important (for Logan anyway) still a boy!  Everything looks great the tech said from what she could tell.  She said the images will all go to the radiologist and if there is a problem we will find out before my appointment next week. I have attached some of the less creepy pictures that we received from our scan today!  He is definitely of the Brokaw blood line with his upper lip, however we still think he has my nose!  Enjoy, these are the last pictures we will get of this little man until he is born! 21 more weeks! =).
Arms and hands!

Profile shot! See my nose =) I think he has his tongue out....not sure!

Logan's upper lip! I suspect this little one is going to take more after him than me!
The confirmation of its a boy shot!

A 3D shot of his features-still fairly creepy but more human like than 3 weeks ago!

I think he looks like an angry old man lol! Rest assured, he also does not have nubs for arms lol...just a poor picture with 3D/4D!

Last but not least....here is the 18.5 week belly shot!

Slowly growing!

18 weeks

How Far Along? 18 weeks!

Maternity Clothes? Still can wear two pairs of work pants and mostly all my tops...I wear all maternity jeans/pants on the weekend these days.

Weight Gain? Still waiting to be surprised.

Stretch Marks? Not yet...still checking!

Sleep? Hit or miss really...all depends if I can get comfortable, however I am pretty used to sleeping on my side now.

Best Moment of the Week? Logan coming up to touch my belly and say hi to the baby.

Movement? I am still waiting for that definite kick to let me know its really him!

Gender? BOY! (Will confirm on Monday)

What I miss? Fitting into my fall clothes!

Symptoms: Stuffy nose started this week...I think I have become one of those annoying heavy breathers ha ha.

What I'm looking forward to? Anatomy scan on Monday and more movement.

Weekly Wisdom: Continue to sleep early and drink water, I feel so much better.

Milestones: I think just getting to 18 weeks is a milestone, considering the doctors were thinking we would need fertility treatments!

Emotions: Just waiting to hopefully relax this next week after a long and busy two months of student teaching.  Trying to get my fill of Logan before he leave us for a while...=(.

Belly 17.5 Weeks

Belly at 17.5 weeks

Logan suggested not having a shirt covering it...I think its growing! It is hard to tell!

17 weeks!

How Far Along? 17 weeks!

Maternity Clothes? Moving towards all maternity pants...I still can wear a few pairs of work pants with the button undone, however I found that the zipper is also needing to be undone....so I feel in the next few weeks that it will be all maternity!

Weight Gain? Once again...tried to eat healthier.  Didn't weigh myself ha ha.

Stretch Marks? Nope! Check daily though =).

Sleep? Crappy due to Rusty having allergies and itching all night! Hopefully with his new meds he will be less itchy and not keep me up all night =/.

Best Moment of the Week? Another sixth grade teacher saying, look at that cute baby bump you keep hidden all day when I wore a maternity shirt to work this week!

Movement? I think I feel him about once a day...but again it could just be me imagining things! It feels ticklish and very strange! I was feeling my stomach the other night and felt a weird hard spot for a few seconds and kept pushing on it and it eventually moved, I am guessing it was him! Probably annoyed I was pushing on him.

Gender? BOY!

What I miss? Wine lol...it has been a long few weeks and I could use a glass!

Symptoms: Starting to get more hungry!

What I'm looking forward to? Feeling consistent movement and knowing its him.

Weekly Wisdom: Continue to sleep early and drink water, I feel so much better.

Milestones: Feeling movement? I hope ha ha.

Emotions: Just stressed...I can't wait to be done with the actual teaching portion of student teaching! 7 more days.

16 week belly shot

This is the belly after 1 liter of water a day, snacks, and meals.  Looking down at it, it feels huge and LOOKS huge from above.  I think its a little deceiving....but it is slowly growing!

16 weeks=4 months!

How Far Along? 16 weeks!

Maternity Clothes? I wore maternity skinny jeans this weekend. They were glorious =).  Still a bit big but nice to not feel not stuffed in my other clothes.

Weight Gain? Tried to eat alot healthier this week.  Have been trying to eat more protein, veggies, and fruits-less junk food like cheetos =).  I still want french fries tho-I could eat those for every meal ha ha.

Stretch Marks? None yet...still using my bio oil!

Sleep? Not great-I keep waking up on my back despite my best efforts to sleep on my side.  I am trying to train myself early, but we will see how this goes.

Best Moment of the Week?  Finding out what we are having.

Movement? I think I have felt him a few times, it is a strange tickle from the inside!

Gender? BOY!

What I miss? Nothing really....pretty content.

Symptoms: The usual...no more dizzy feelings though!

What I'm looking forward to? Feeling more movement!

Weekly Wisdom: Sleep early....I am feeling more tired this week.

Milestones: Hitting a new month!

Emotions:I feel like crying lately ha ha...poor Logan.  He hates when I cry so I feel like I have to hold it in for his sake =)

It's a....

It's a BOY! Logan is ecstatic.  I am still in shock, but I think either way I would have been in shock...it makes it all so real!
This is the position little man has been in every time we see him.  He has had a HUGE growth spurt since the last time we saw him.  The lady said he is measuring large (for how far along I am) and all looks great! She said keep doing whatever you are doing =).
Taking after Mommy and sleeping with both arms up around his head! This is the 3D picture that we got...still fairly creepy since he has no fat ha ha.  I think these would be cool to do later in pregnancy, but I think I would like to keep it a surprise who he takes after until birth.
First little outfit! Logan wanted baseball, but this was too cute to pass up!
Once I got started buying boy clothes, it made it so much more real!

I thought anything flying would be appropriate with Logan's job!

It has been an eventful week/weekend for the Brokaw family! I am trying to sit down to focus on school, but nursery colors, bedding, and names has full control over my mind!  It is also our two year anniversary today, so we are spending the afternoon doing fun things and going to try a new steak house here in town.  I hope its good!

Happy Labor Day weekend everyone!
