46 Weeks!

This past week has flown by! Landon celebrated his first Christmas, visited tons of family, and has just been an overly exhausted little man.  Landon's first Christmas was also a white Christmas.  We had about 3 inches of snow at my parents! I haven't seen this much snow in a few years, so it was a fun memory to have with Landon and his first Christmas.

He is sleeping rather well at my parents which is nice, but he is averaging about 2 hours less sleep than normal at night since he goes to bed significantly later than he is used to.  His naps are doing pretty well, but he is just so overly tired from us taking him places that he can't catch up even with extra long naps.  Now that the major visiting days are over, we are going to try to stick to a better schedule for him and hopefully normalize him before heading back to Virginia here in a week and a half.  He is currently in the middle of a 2.5 hour long nap....the poor boy can sleep the day away if that will make him feel better.

In addition to being exhausted, he is a teething monster.  His second top center tooth is causing alot of problems and pain for him.  The poor guy has raw fingers from chewing on them constantly the past week.  It looks so close to come through but so far, no such luck!  I occasionally would sing him the "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" song, but he didn't find it terribly amusing.

Regardless of the tiredness factor and the teeth, Landon had a great first Christmas.   It was so fun to see him around all of our family and opening gifts.  Granted, he cared more for the paper and bows than the actual gift, but in time he will learn to play with them.  We have so much stuff we will need to ship the majority of it back! He was a very fortunate little boy with all the gifts from his grand parents, aunts and uncles, and cousins!

In Landon news....he is getting pretty close to walking.  He walks constantly with his walker and can push things around the house walking behind them.  Today it was amusing to watch him push the laundry basket around.  He attempted to take his first step towards Logan yesterday, but decided he would crawl instead after reaching out and contemplating for a minute or so.  He is getting better about walking while holding someones hand as well!  We need to work on balancing and standing alone, but he thinks it is a big game to fall forward and have me catch him.

Landon LOVES to clap.  He claps for almost everything these days.  His favorite time to clap is while eating.  I also think this is the beginning of him signing more to food, since we have been working on that with him.  It is exciting that this is his first real attempt at communication!

Landon's babbling along these days.  He says: Dada, Nana, Mama, and we have heard him say Gigi a few times a well.  Right now his two favorite are Da da and Na na, but they still don't have a connection with the person.

Just in the last week, Landon has learned to kiss a baby doll.  You say Landon, give the baby a kiss and he gives it a big open mouth kiss on its face!  Now to get him to give kisses to real people!

Here are a few pictures that we took over the last week.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Until next week =).
