How Far Along: 36 Weeks or starting the 9 month!!
Size of Baby: Landon should be close to 18.75 inches in length and roughly 5.75 lbs, the baby app says this is the size of a crenshaw melon. Once again...where do they get these fruits/veggies? The midwife didn't measure my belly this week because his head had dropped so low that the belly measuring pretty much is pointless since she would be missing his entire head, thus making my belly smaller than it should measure. She said just by looking at it though when I am sitting up he is growing great.
Maternity Clothes: I have one outfit that I wear lol...leggings, long sweater, tank top, boots...I just rotate the color tank top and which sweater I have. The rest of the time I wander around in Logan's clothes =). The other night I got upset because he "stole" MY sweatpants, which mind you were really his ha ha...so you could see how he would get confused!
Weight Gain: I didn't look this week...Logan looks weekly and always asks if I want to know and I routinely tell him NO.
Belly: 36 week picture:
Stretch Marks: Still using the lotion/bio oil....my skin is starting to look shinny, I imagine that is bad!
Sleep: Still poorly. If I sleep longer than 2 hours I am shocked. I have also started snoring ha ha..I blame all the space Landon takes up and pushes up on my lungs. I usually wake myself up and Logan claims he never hears me...most likely because he is used to sleeping through is own =).
Best Moment of the Week: Logan and I were changing the light bulbs in our bathroom since 4 of them were burned out. When Landon moves since he is so low my legs often getting shooting pains down them...well while he was changing a light bulb I bent over in pain and grabbed my belly and said ooooooowwww...and he flipped out ha ha. He said I wasn't ever allowed to do that again until it was a real contraction. I feel a look of fear crossed his face and I could tell he was wondering what to grab first for bags, keys, me, etc...lol. Never a dull moment!
Movement: Still moves around or squirms more so. His head is very engaged (zero station-for those that know anything about babies lol)...so he cant move a whole lot anymore. I still feel kicks in the upper right stomach and then mostly just dragging and squirming movements everywhere else.
Symptoms: Back, hip, pelvis, and leg pain....see how everything is just moving down lol...I think that means he is going to escape soon. Also snoring can be added to this fun list!
Food Cravings: Back to french fries! I had McDonald's for lunch and it was great! I am making the most of my food cravings because soon I will have to be more mindful of what I am eating since I will be breast feeding (hopefully) and trying to slim back down!
Gender: Boy-Landon!
What I Miss: Not feeling uncomfortable every second of the day...
What I'm Looking Forward to: Hitting 37 weeks next Thursday! I will be considered full term and I really hope he stays put until then!!
Nursery: Well we had a fun week of deliveries the past few days! Earlier last week we got a package from Kendra and Adam (military friends who moved in December) and they sent us this cute little baseball with Landon's name!
I am still waiting for the letters for above his crib. I am slightly annoyed that we haven't received those yet since I ordered them the first week of December. I am giving it one more week until I am contacting them for the third time to see where they are at. At this rate Landon will be here before the letters. Logan still needs to hang the monitor; that is on his to do list this weekend as well. SLOWLY making progress on the small things we have left.
Weekly Wisdom: I feel better when I get up and wander around a bit. Getting my hair cut and colored today made me actually feel human and that was nice =).
Milestones: 36 weeks! One again...every day at this point is a milestone, but I am really hoping we can get to 37 weeks which is considered a full term pregnancy! Then he is free to come out...we worked so hard to keep him in this long, that I think everyone is anxious for him to make his appearance.
Emotions: This past week was the week of the freak outs. Poor Logan....every night at bed time I spend 30 minutes of so freaking out about one thing or another. It first started with the pack n play and the newborn napper. I read it wasn't approved for over night sleeping, so cue the first freak out of the week. This resulted in hours of reading and we are STILL undecided. I did however order a Fisher Price Rock n Play Sleeper, which IS approved for over night sleeping and we may use both...we will see what happens. Then fast forward a few days when I start reading about the car seat and base installation. Logan a few weeks ago went to get ours inspected and they told us it was safe. Well upon further reading I found that may not be so true with the LATCH system and how it is used in both of our cars. I wanted Logan to go out and measure at 10:30 at night, but he thought I was crazy and absolutely refused lol....apparently he doesn't understand pregnancy hormone freakouts! We will ALSO be looking into this this weekend to be sure we did it correctly or if we have to change the base in the cars.
Other updates: So we have made the decision to try cloth diapering LB! This week after much research and reading other Mommy blogs, we ordered 3 cloth diapers just to try. They are a one size fits all (8-35 lbs) and they don't have fillers that you have to change. I imagine they will make his little butt look fuller until he grows into them, but I think this will be the best bet for Logan and I, plus maybe a bit more doable when he goes to daycare if we find a cloth diaper friendly one in the area! Once we determine if we are up for this adventure we will invest in more diapers, because clearly...3 diapers won't even get us through a morning ha ha. They come in fun colors so I got 3 different colors, also gender neutral for a possible Brokaw baby #2 down the road...in many many years!
In other fun news I ordered LB his first Valentine's day outfit. Yes, I do realize that his real due date isn't until February 23rd, but in reality he will most likely be here BEFORE Valentine's day, so he of course had to have one. So here it is....
Yes, I do realize now that I have bought this that he will probably come AFTER Valentine's day...but I don't care he will still wear it either way =)!
Ok enough for today....until next week!

35 Weeks/35 days to go!
How Far Along: 35 Weeks
Size of Baby: Little man should be close to 18 inches in length and weighing in close to 5.25 lbs, roughly the size of a honeydew melon! However, I did ask the midwife today what she would guess his weight is at and she said roughly 6 lbs! We have a little fatty on our hands....no wonder I look like I am carrying a bowling ball in my stomach. I still have a hard time believing he is that big...guess only time will tell! The midwife did mention I look like I could burst open at any second while laying on the table....I am going to try to take that as a compliment.
Maternity Clothes: My new leggings got here....soooooo much more comfortable! So I actually wore those, a tank top, a sweater, and boots for my outings this week! Yay for still looking decently cute, but comfy. No more jeans on this end. On the bad side, even Logan's big sleep shirts are becoming tight...
Weight Gain: So I saw the scale today....up about 30 lbs. If I make it out under 150 I'll be pleased lol.
Belly: 35 week picture:
Stretch Marks: None yet....keep your fingers crossed people!
Sleep: Very hit or miss. I can fall asleep pretty well, then am usually awake every 2 hours or so to get up and go to the bathroom. When Logan gets up for work at 6, I usually am awake between 6-7 and then sleep until around 8:30-9. Just kind of depends....its all very sporadic these days. One day, I slept for 7 hours straight and it was heaven!
Best Moment of the Week: Seeing Logan take the car seat and base to get inspected. His face carrying the car seat out of the room was pretty much ridiculous....a slight bit of shock mixed in with excitement!
Movement: He more squirms around, instead of big movements anymore. His hands or head (not sure which) hit a nerve in my back which sends a shooting pain down my back, butt, and legs. I keep trying to tell him that's not nice....must take after Logan =). Instead of kicks, I get random body parts pushing out...I can't tell if it's his feet or knees.
Symptoms: Back/pelvis pain. Things are starting to swell a bit, I don't wear my rings as much anymore for the fear of not being able to get them off. Also, I have been roasting. I rarely sleep with the blankets on and always have the temp set to 65 in the car! Currently I'm laying around in a tank top and pants and its 68 in the house....before I would have been freezing and under several blankets!
Food Cravings: Cookies...specifically Oreos.
Gender: Boy-Landon!
What I Miss: Being able to walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath....or walk anywhere really!
What I'm Looking Forward to: Having an outside baby....
Nursery: We moved some things around lately. We moved the swing to the corner of the living room and put Rusty's bed back. I think it looks better and less cluttered this way. We got a fun jumpy contraption (not sure of the real name) from Annie and Mallory! I have to wait to set this up because we are just completely out of room! We still need to put up the video monitor in his room; I hope to do that this weekend!
Weekly Wisdom: For as uncomfortable as I am becoming, I just keep thinking that everyday he stays in is 2 less he will be in the NICU!
Milestones: 35 weeks and 35 days left! I am not sure anyone, including Logan and I, thought we would ever get to this point.
Emotions: Feeling more ready...starting to freak out about the birth and pain! Still worried about him spending time in the NICU. At our appointment today she said even if he is born in the next week or two, he will likely still spend 1 week in the NICU. Just hoping to keep him in until 37 weeks. Things are slowly progressing....sitting at almost 2 cm dilated and 60-70% effaced. So still a ticking time bomb!

34 Weeks!
How Far Along: 34 Weeks
Size of Baby: He is about 18 inches long and weighs roughly 4.75 lbs (the weight of an average cantaloupe)! He is getting fatter by the week-which is our goal! His length growth has slowed down alot, if we make it to full term he will likely only grow another 2-3 inches. However, he should be packing on a 1/2 lb a week, turning into a little fat man I hope.
Maternity Clothes: I have entered the stage of where I no longer wear real people clothes. I even wore yoga pants to the doctors today lol...I have no shame anymore. I am looking forward to the time I can fit back into my other clothes!
Weight Gain: I am guessing ALOT...that is enough on that subject.
Belly: 34 week picture:
Stretch Marks: None yet-still using the bio oil and lotion! I try to drink TONS of water so maybe that is also helping.
Sleep: Like crap! The peeing, squishing of his head feeling between my legs, and constant hip pain- sleep is a thing of the past!
Best Moment of the Week: I think FINALLY realizing that we are all set for him to come....at least stuff wise! Emotionally not quite ready yet!
Movement: I still get the kicks on the upper right and a few to the ribs, but mostly just big giant rolling/squirming feelings. Plus LOTS of hiccups.
Symptoms: Pain lots of pain...hip pain, tailbone pain, back pain...see the trend. This all leads to him being dropped and in position to go when he so feels the need.
Food Cravings: Sweet stuff this week-I blame Logan for bringing home ice cream. He is not helping with the weight gain!
Gender: Boy-Landon!
What I Miss: Just being able to feel like I can have a life and be social...being on bed rest and now on baby watch is stressful! Makes me not want to be very social. I have a giant fear of my water breaking in public or going into labor with out Logan.
What I'm Looking Forward to: Having the baby...the stress is taking over and I am sure it's not good for either of us!
Nursery: The swing came this week! Thanks to Lyndsy -she had it shipped from CO! Everything else is pretty much set to go within the nursery! We have alot of other areas that need to be cleaned/washed with clothes but the nursery is pretty much ready. My Mom still has to finish her cross stitch for his room, but we need his birthday and all his stats. I am also still waiting on his baseball letters that spell Landon, for above his crib! They should be coming soon I think!
Weekly Wisdom: Remember the end is coming and I will have a healthy baby boy! This is what I keep telling myself when I am in pain half the night.
Milestones: At this point every extra day he stays in is a milestone. The midwife says it could be any time, so everyday at this point counts!
Emotions: We are not sure how to feel with the news that he could be coming any day. We are excited, nervous, and terrified! I think those are all to be expected with the arrival of any baby, but add in a possibly 6 week early baby and it gets a bit more complicated!

Update to the last post!
I forgot to mention Logan's crazy baby dreams. The best one came after breast feeding class; Logan had a dream that he had to breast feed the baby ha ha. He said he slept horribly because all he did was dream about the baby for the past week. I think it's starting to get to him a bit! Now he knows how I feel when I dream about leaving him in the car or forgetting him places!
Since starting our baby classes, Logan admits to this all being more real and feeling more excited for him to get here! He said it was always real feeling before, but not something he really got until we started learning stuff and being more hands on; it only took 8 months ha ha...better late than never! He now thinks we will be able to get through the crazy newborn stage and keep him alive, even if its a bit stressful! Good to hear one of us thinks that lol...hopefully I am next to think this! =).

33 Weeks!
How Far Along: 33 Weeks
Size of Baby: He is about 4.25 lbs (the weight of a pineapple-yum) and roughly 17 inches long! His head circumference is supposed to grow 1/2 inch this week because of brain development!!
Maternity Clothes: I have officially started outgrowing my clothes =(. I refuse to buy more jeans, so I bought one maternity top on sale and the next size up of leggings from Old Navy. Leggings are more comfortable at this stage anyway. I have even commandeered several of Logan's shirts and stashed them on my side for sleeping at night!
Weight Gain: Still gaining...that's all that matters at this point lol!
Belly: 33 week picture:
Stretch Marks:None yet...although things are starting to get rather stretched!
Sleep: I have been having crazy dreams...so those keep me awake. I am still sleeping, but when Logan gets up for work I tend to have a harder time falling back to sleep since my mind starts thinking of all the things I need to do or worry about.
Best Moment of the Week: Actually getting to our baby classes-there was a point I didn't think we would get to take these!
Movement: He definitely has his periods of sleeping and awake time. His movements feel more like rolling and dragging vs. the kicking he used to do. I imagine he is feeling pretty cramped these days.
Symptoms: Out of breath, high pulse rate, can't eat very much anymore-I get so full so fast.
Food Cravings: Better Cheddars, grapes, and meat...
Gender: Boy-Landon!
What I Miss: Being able to put my socks and shoes on with out falling over! Everything these days is becoming a bit more difficult.
What I'm Looking Forward to: Our next major goal...34 weeks.
Nursery: Nothing new here this week...pretty much the same. We have another baby shower this weekend, so we will see what we end up with!
Weekly Wisdom: Take one day at a time.
Milestones: One more week until 34 weeks!
Emotions: Just worn out!

A year end review!
1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
-Got pregnant
-Graduated from a masters program
2. Did you keep your 2011 resolutions, and will you make more next year?
-Actually yes-we started recycling! We still recycle, although not to the best we could since Logan hates going to the recycle center now that I can't! Once I am off bed rest, I hope to get back to doing better or even sign us up for a curb recycle company!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Cheese had Scarlett!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully, no.
5. What countries did you visit?
None this year! Logan and I talked that for our 5 year wedding anniversary in a few years we would like to go on a cruise or something fun and have our parents watch LB!
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
-Our son here safe and healthy (weird to say that)
-Both of us having a steady job
-Less stress
7. What dates from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory and why?
-Father's day-the day I told Logan I was pregnant!
-November 7th-the first day of bed rest
-December 16th-Graduation day from APSU
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Graduating from school and student teaching! I was worried that being pregnant and all the ups and downs that came with that would jeopardize me graduating on time, but all worked out thankfully!
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not being able to have the healthy and stress free pregnancy that I desired.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Passing out was probably the worst which my body still has battle wounds from-all things to show LB when he is older!
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My camera-well Logan bought this but I am glad I suggested it several months ago, so I would like to think that I played a roll in this lol!
12. Where did most of your money go?
The baby! I suspect this will be the trend for YEARS to come. Also, paying off credit cards so we could try to be as debt free as possible for starting our family.
13. What did you get really excited about?
Getting pregnant and being done with school
14. What song will always remind you of 2011?
Rolling In the Deep by Adele
15. Compared to this time last year, are you:
-Happier or sadder? A bit of both? The last 2.5 months have been long and hard.
-thinner or fatter? Fatter lol-but for a good reason!
-Richer or poorer? Poorer, if we're talking about bank accounts!
16. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Golfing and relaxing
17. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Stressing.
18. How did you spend Christmas?
With Logan! Our first independent Christmas in TN! Hope to be back in Colorado next year for Landon's first real Christmas!
19. What was your favorite TV program?
TV has really been hit or miss this year-I like Once Upon a Time that I started watching this fall-not sure if it's a favorite though.
20. What were your favorite books of the year?
I have read so many books this year-it would be hard to choose! Recently, it would be The Sixth man by David Baldacci.
21. What was your favorite music from this year?
Almost any hit country song--until it became over played!
22. What were your favorite films of the year?
Friends with Benefits and Easy A-there weren't too many notable movies this year!
23. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Went to dinner with friends since Logan was deployed-per the usual and turned 26!
24. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not being on bed rest!
25. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Cute but comfy-until bed rest hit and I now live in pajamas/overly large clothes all week long unless I head out to the doctor, chiropractor, or some other approved doctor outing!
26. What kept you sane?
Logan and family!
27. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011.
Sometimes hard times will just be a blip on the life radar and eventually all that crappy time will be worth it in the end!

6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?

-Father's day-the day I told Logan I was pregnant!
-November 7th-the first day of bed rest

Graduating from school and student teaching! I was worried that being pregnant and all the ups and downs that came with that would jeopardize me graduating on time, but all worked out thankfully!

Getting pregnant and being done with school
14. What song will always remind you of 2011?
Rolling In the Deep by Adele

Golfing and relaxing
17. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Stressing.
18. How did you spend Christmas?
With Logan! Our first independent Christmas in TN! Hope to be back in Colorado next year for Landon's first real Christmas!
TV has really been hit or miss this year-I like Once Upon a Time that I started watching this fall-not sure if it's a favorite though.
20. What were your favorite books of the year?
I have read so many books this year-it would be hard to choose! Recently, it would be The Sixth man by David Baldacci.

Almost any hit country song--until it became over played!
