24 weeks with baby 2!

How Far Along? 24 weeks!

Weight Gain? My body likes to gain weight while pregnant-no matter what I eat...so I am just going to hope I gain less than with Landon =).

Stretch Marks? I think I have one...I got some new lotion...time will tell.

Sleep? Back to sleeping poorly. My hips and shoulders are in pain all the time, so that makes it really hard to sleep. I have also been getting some awful Charlie horses. I feel everything starts earlier this time around.

Best Moment of the Week? Hitting 24 weeks today-viability day.  Almost done trimming the nursery-this means Logan can start the other painting soon!

Movement? Lots of movement lately. She is all over the place. I usually feel her by my left hip and then on the right side of my belly button.

What I miss? Being able to parent Landon fully. Not lifting him up, going out and doing everything we used to makes me feel guilty. I know it won't last forever, but I can see him behaving differently because he is bored.

Symptoms: Lots of contractions the last week-trying to remain positive that my body will know how to handle them like before and not need bed rest this time.  The Dr. on Tuesday told us everything seems "fine" and just to keep track of my contractions. We will see what the next few weeks bring.

What I'm looking forward to? Ultrasound on the 13th-hoping for good news.

Weekly Wisdom: More water! Apparently 120 oz. a day isn't enough....

Emotions: Today I am ok-we were busy around the house and my body has been behaving. We have a busy weekend, so I am hoping I do ok.  WE did get some good news, Logan won't be leaving for 6 weeks like we had thought this summer. His boss said it was going to be too risky and possibly take too long to get him home if something happened-so he is staying. As of now...we seriously get a different story every week. We will see how long this one sticks!

23 Weeks with baby 2

How Far Along? 23 weeks!

Weight Gain? Around 10 lbs is my guess

Stretch Marks? None that I can see

Sleep? I have good days and bad days. My hips and shoulders have been really achy so sleeping long stretches just doesn't happen.

Best Moment of the Week? Hearing the MFM say I have a pretty cervix....made my day ha ha. So as you can imagine things are still looking god. Next scan is in 2.5 weeks on the 16th with another monthly appointment.

Movement? She has been quieter during the day but I think that is because we have been busy, but she is none stop moving a night.

What I miss? Being able to do things without getting out of breath.

Symptoms: Achy lately...plus more Braxton Hick's Contractions. The Dr. today said just to be aware of them and if they seem timeable I need to call and see if I need to go in.

What I'm looking forward to? Hitting 24 weeks next week-which is viability...morbid I know.

Weekly Wisdom: Positive thinking that all is going well.

Emotions:Stressed considering this is the time where things happened with Landon. I am very hopeful that this pregnancy will be different!

Until next week!

22 Weeks with baby 2

How Far Along? 22 weeks!

Weight Gain? Probably around 10 lbs.

Stretch Marks? None yet

Sleep? Been sleeping better, but waking up pretty early!

Best Moment of the Week? We got good news at my appointment on Monday. So far, despite alot of contractions, everything is looking great. We got back on the 29th for another cervical length check and a check on little miss. She is breech still which explains why I feel her where I do.

Movement? She moves all day long!

Gender? Girl!

What I miss? Being able to do things without getting out of breath.

Symptoms: Tired mostly!

What I'm looking forward to? Our next appointment-going to try to get Logan to be able to go and maybe take the monkey to see her since it is just an ultrasound. He is suddenly very interested in baby sister...especially her wabops, he needs a pacifier intervention.

Weekly Wisdom: I need to remember to drink so much water-especially now that it is in the 90s!

Milestones: Nothing major yet, just trucking along.

Emotions:Just trying to remain positive and take it week by week!

21 Weeks with Baby 2!

How Far Along? 21 weeks!

Maternity Clothes? Yep!

Weight Gain? Probably around 7-10 lbs.

Stretch Marks? None yet, but my belly looks shiny-I think that is bad.

Sleep? Sleep, I don't do that anymore! I can fall asleep but wake up constantly and am up for the day now at 530. I think Rusty gets up and wanders around and it wakes me up.

Best Moment of the Week? People complimenting me on my belly-at least I look pregnant and not just fat anymore =).

Movement? She is strong and kicks me CONSTANTLY. She seems to be sleepy in the morning and active alot of the afternoon and right before bed. I generally feel her when I get up in the morning as well.

Gender? Girl!

What I miss? Sleeping in-I can't even blame Landon for this.

Symptoms: My left hip has been killing me lately-I think it is time for a trip to the chiropractor.

What I'm looking forward to? Logan may be coming home for the weekend-not 100%, but I am hopeful!

Weekly Wisdom: I am starving lately and trying to make smart choices-nuts, fruit, and avocado have been my go to snacks.

Milestones: No big milestones this week.

Emotions:Just trying to remain positive. I am anxious to see what the ultrasound on Monday reveals in terms of what is going on inside of me =).

Belly picture: 21 weeks-I feel like a giant.

Until next week!

20 Weeks with baby 2!

How Far Along? 20 weeks!

Maternity Clothes? Yep, I am enjoying all my dresses as it is starting to warm up.

Weight Gain? Not sure this week, but I have been more hungry lately so I am sure it is going up.

Stretch Marks? Not yet! Using my lotion like last time.

Sleep? Not great, if I am up to use the restroom less than 2 times I consider that a win.  It may help now that my lovely snoring husband is gone for the next  few weeks! ;).

Best Moment of the Week? Making it to the half way point in the pregnancy!

Movement? She has been quieter the last few days, but overall very active. She seems to be a wiggly and active little girl.

Gender? Girl!

What I miss? Sleeping on my back and belly.

Symptoms: Achy hips and lower ligaments. Everything seems to start so much earlier after the first pregnancy.

What I'm looking forward to? My upcoming appointment on the 19th-so about  week and a half.

Weekly Wisdom: Now that it is warming up I have to remember not to over do it outside and drink even more water (which not sure HOW that is possible) since I noticed some hand swelling this week.

Milestones: Half way point last Thursday.

Emotions: This has been a hard week. I am tired of having Logan gone all the time and I know he is sick of being gone as well. This is the point in Landon's pregnancy things started changing so it is always weighing on my mind of how things are going. I look forward to having Logan around hopefully a bit more next month, but I am not holding my breath.

20 Week belly picture: I think she went through a major growth spurt!

Until next week!

19 weeks!

How Far Along? 19 weeks!

Maternity Clothes? Yep, a friend gave me some used clothes so I am excited to wear those as well.

Weight Gain? Up about 7 lbs. Not too bad for almost half way.

Stretch Marks? Not yet!

Sleep? Not great, if I am up to use the restroom less than 2 times I consider that a win.  It may help now that my lovely snoring husband is gone for the next  few weeks! ;).

Best Moment of the Week? Our anatomy scan was this morning, little miss is mesuring right on track and looks very healthy. Everything with me is checking out ok as well!

Movement? Yep, she moves ALOT. Even more than Landon at this stage-Logan has felt her a feel times and he always gets excited.  I haven't let Landon try to feel her yet, I think it may scare him since he won't understand.

Gender? Definitely a girl-confirmed again this morning. She also looks pretty similar to Mr. Landon at this age. Oh and complete drama already-notice her arm/hand over her face saying, no pictures please!

What I miss? Sleeping all the way through the night.

Symptoms: Getting more hungry and still braxton hicks.

What I'm looking forward to? Hitting half way next week!

Weekly Wisdom: I feel better drinking ALOT of water and doing a bit of prenatal yoga seems to help her move around and out of my pelvis and relieving some of the aching I get from her.

Milestones: Almost to 20 weeks!

Emotions: After a good appointment today, my nerves have calmed a little bit. We have two appointments in the next month, one in a bit over 2 weeks and then another at the end of the month. Both are going to be monitoring the baby and me for any of the issues that came up with Landon.  After we hit 24 weeks, the approach is more treatment based, than preventative. So we shall see what the next 5 weeks bring...hopefully nothing eventful as Logan has a busy summer planned with traveling.

19 week belly:

Until next week =).

18 weeks with baby 2!

How Far Along? 18 weeks!

Maternity Clothes? Yep, significantly more comfortable with the expanding belly

Weight Gain? I am not sure, but will get weighed at my next appointment.

Stretch Marks? Not yet!

Sleep? I have been sleeping better which is helpful for my mood the rest of the day!

Best Moment of the Week? Nothing terribly special happened this week.

Movement? Yep, I can feel her moving around each day. I would appreciate it if she would move off my bladder at some point in the near future.

Gender? Girl-we are working on names.

What I miss? Beer-which is weird because it wasn't like I ever really drank it before.

Symptoms: Mostly just tired and Braxton Hick's contractions still. Lots of movement as well. Thankfully I am back being able to eat normally for the most part.

What I'm looking forward to? Our anatomy scan on the 2nd. Looking forward to seeing her again.

Weekly Wisdom: I need to try to take it easy already-if I over do it, I will suffer with discomfort all night long...pregnancy is no joke! Plus, drinking alot of water.

Milestones: Just taking it one day at a time. I am really looking forward to hitting 24 weeks, but that is still pretty far off.

Emotions:The farther I go along, the more my anxiety of Landon's pregnancy creeps in. I am thankful to have good Drs. to monitor this pregnancy, but it doesn't help with the thoughts creeping back from all the scary things with Landon. I go through phases of feeling good and feeling poorly, I am hoping that we find everything is going well at the appointment next week.

Belly picture: 18 weeks

Landon is also doing great. He is a crazy little, well not so little, two year old boy. He has been keeping me busy, which means I don't have a ton of time to sit around and dwell about problems with this pregnancy.  He has been loving all the warmer weather lately and completely loves being outside. He would LOVE spending every waking second outside if I would let him. I have started letting him explore the backyard with Rusty as the baby sitter while I can do a few things in the kitchen and check on him every few minutes. Most of the time he is back looking at me through the screen asking me to come out with him ha ha....independence isn't his strong suit!

We are waiting to hear if he gets into the preschool programs two days a week this fall.  I called yesterday and he is number one on the wait list currently, so that is encouraging. If he doesn't get in there, he will still go to MDO two days a week, but then I would have to figure out volunteering with the LO and not sure how that would work.  Either way, he will be starting MDO two days a week this summer. HE has grown to absolutely love going and I think he will really benefit going two days a week this summer, starting the beginning of June. They do alot of outside play with water tables and sprinklers, plus they still focus on letters, numbers, shapes, etc. and do Landon's favorite thing-ART!

Landon has recently learned to count to ten, now we are working on counting to fifteen.   He is at the point of getting to ten and then gets super confused. It often goes like this: ten, sleven (seven and eleven mixed), then back to eight, nine, ten, sleven, eight, nine, ten =). It is pretty cute. Just yesterday he made it to thirteen and then started back to eight, nine, ten ha ha. Very cute.  We are also working on colors and letters, but those seem a bit more abstract.  He talks my ear off ALL DAY LONG, almost to the point of annoyance occasionally. He baffles me by the things he says. The other day he told our friend who was helping him climb, that he was using his muscles to help climb...smart kid. =).  We love him. Logan told me the other night that he wishes Landon would stay this age and size forever. Their relationship has blossomed since Logan got home at the beginning of this month. When Logan is home, I don't matter much unless Landon gets upset that Logan isn't letting him do something =).  Then he comes to me to make it seem like Daddy is being a bad guy ha ha.

Until next wee =)!
