Our Growing Family: 22 Weeks!

Each week Landon learns so many new things; each day really he seems to absorb something new and it is pretty interesting to watch! We haven't been too terribly busy this past week. Just trying to get everything unpacked and organized. It is official that all three of us have WAY TOO MUCH STUFF. When we move again once we buy another house, we are doing some serious downsizing so we don't have to pack and move so many things by ourselves!

This week Landon:

You learned to blow raspberries with your spit. It is pretty funny, but also pretty gross. I say gross because when you spit up and you have any leftovers you tend to blow raspberries with that and let me tell you, no one likes to see spit-up raspberries. Not to mention you spit all over everyone and everything!
You constantly have your hands in your mouth. At night when you can't sleep or are having problems trying to stay asleep you bring your thumb and index finger to your mouth and suck on them. You try to bring everything to your mouth these days. Even when I am changing your diaper you grab my arm and try to bring it to your mouth...it is rather funny.
You pull on EVERYTHING. You pull on my shirt, my necklace, my hair (OW), your clothes, toys, blankets, etc. You are gaining such good control with grabbing on to things and bringing them up to your mouth!
You have started really screeching and squeaking this past week. I thought you were doing it before, but it seems to have just gotten higher and louder! During facetime with my Mom the other day she got a taste of it and she said it sounds like he scares himself, but he just loves to do it. In the morning when he wakes up in his crib that is what I hear. At a bbq this past weekend, he made that sound for hours when people talked to him...apparently he loves to have conversations!
You haven't been rolling as much lately. We know you can do it, but you just seem to be a bit lazy in the movement department. You are pretty content to just stay on your back and play with your toys.
You have been sleeping in your crib for just about a week! It has gone surprisingly well. Most nights you are up once, but the time varies a bit more than before. Your naps are a bit more difficult in the crib. Sometimes it is back to your usual 30-45 minutes, but others you sleep for 2-2.5 hours. So I think we are still figuring that out. Next to go your magic merlin sleep suit! You are just about ready to outgrow it and I don't really want to buy another one!
You have been in cloth diapers the last 3 days! So far so good, with one minor incident of poop leakage...eww. We still put you in disposables when we go out and at night...for now it just seems easier!
For the biggest news-you can sit unassisted for about 10-20 seconds! I think it helps that you have a big cloth diaper butt now that makes it easier to balance, but you have improved so much on this skill just in the past week! Good job little man =)
